Safety and security of journalists

Safety and security of journalists at risk in most African countries which have had demonstrations and protests. Security forces assault, shoot, unlawfully arrest and detain front-line journalists who document brutal attacks on civilians.  In Uganda, more than 20 journalists have been targeted since the beginning of the ‘Walk to Work’ demonstrations protesting high fuel and commodity prices in April 2011. How can we put this to the attention of members to address it?

Internet laws in Africa

Internet is a new phenomenon in Africa especially in my country Uganda. Old laws are maliciously used against internet users and platforms are arbitrarily closed. Any approach can be used to address this problem
